Selecting and Fitting
Match both the thread diameter and pitch to the bolt or stud. Fine, extra fine and standard coarse threads of the same nominal diameter are not interchangeable.
Start the nut by hand to check engagement before tightening with a correctly fitting spanner or socket. Follow the tightening requirements for the assembly.
