Selecting and Fitting
The M-size identifies the nominal fastener thread size, not the cover's external diameter. Check the nut or bolt head width across flats and the available cover depth, particularly where a bolt protrudes through a nut.
Fit the cover after tightening the fastener and check that it seats securely. Covers are finishing components and do not replace a nut or locking device.
