Metric Zinc Plated Steel Cage Nuts for 1.6mm Panels
These metric cage nuts provide a captive threaded fixing in compatible 1.6 mm thick panels. The cage holds the nut in position, allowing a matching machine screw or bolt to be fitted without holding a loose nut behind the panel.
Manufactured from zinc plated steel, they are available in M5, M6, M8 and M10 metric coarse threads. They are useful for cabinets, enclosures and sheet metal assemblies with suitable mounting apertures.

Select the thread size to match your bolt or machine screw, then choose the required pack quantity. Check both the panel thickness and mounting aperture before ordering.
The 1.6 mm measurement refers to the thickness of the panel that holds the cage nut. It does not describe the mounting-hole size or nut dimensions. Please contact us if you need mounting-hole or cage dimensions confirmed.
Fitting Guidance
Fit the cage into the compatible panel aperture and check that it is fully seated. Align the component being attached, start the matching screw by hand and tighten to suit the assembly.
