Product Description
UNF zinc plated steel serrated flange lock nuts for imperial fine thread fastening applications. These Grade 5 high tensile flange nuts combine a hex nut with an integrated flange and serrated bearing face, helping provide a secure locking action without the need for a separate washer in many assemblies.
The serrated underside bites into the mating surface to help resist loosening from vibration and movement. The built-in flange helps spread the load across the joint, making these nuts useful for automotive, engineering, machinery, repair, restoration and general maintenance work.
Available in UNF thread sizes from 1/4" to 1/2", these zinc plated serrated flange nuts are suitable for use with UNF bolts, screws and studs. For inch series hex flange nuts, the suitable dimensional reference is ASME B18.2.2, with ASME B1.1 covering the UNF thread form.
