UNF carbon steel hexagon die nuts for Unified National Fine external threads. These UK made re-threading die nuts are mainly used for cleaning, chasing and restoring existing threads on UNF bolts, studs, threaded bar and other male threaded components.
The hexagon die nut design allows the tool to be turned with a suitable spanner or socket, making it useful for repair work where access may be limited or where a standard circular die and die stock is not practical. Carbon steel die nuts are a practical choice for cleaning up damaged, rusty, dirty or worn UNF threads.
Available in UNF thread sizes from No.10-32 up to 1"-14, including 1/4" x 28, 5/16" x 24, 3/8" x 24, 7/16" x 20, 1/2" x 20, 5/8" x 18 and 3/4" x 16. UNF thread dimensions are commonly referenced to ASME B1.1.
