Product Description
M8 A4 316 Stainless Steel Socket Button Head Screws
M8 socket button head machine screws manufactured from A4 316 marine grade stainless steel. Featuring an M8 x 1.25mm metric coarse thread and a 5mm internal hexagon drive, these screws provide a neat fastening for panels, covers, brackets and mechanical assemblies.
The shallow, rounded button head sits above the fixing surface, giving visible fastenings a smooth appearance. A4 stainless steel offers improved corrosion resistance compared with A2 stainless steel, making it a useful choice for outdoor equipment and assemblies exposed to coastal conditions.

Selection and Installation
Use with matching M8 x 1.25mm nuts or tapped holes. Select a length that provides adequate thread engagement without bottoming out in a blind hole. Screw length is measured from beneath the head and excludes the button head.
Fully engage the 5mm hex key before tightening. Use a tightening torque appropriate to the fastener and joint. Button head screws have reduced loadability compared with equivalent socket cap screws, so check suitability where high clamping loads are required.
