Metric Zinc Plated Steel 8% Taper Washers DIN 434
Metric steel taper washers to DIN 434 with a zinc plated finish. The 8% taper compensates for the sloping flange of a matching U-section channel, providing a level bearing surface beneath a bolt head or nut when correctly positioned.
Available in M8, M10, M12, M16, M20 and M24 nominal bolt sizes, these washers suit channel connections, fabrication, machinery supports and maintenance work where the flange slope matches the washer taper.

Selection and Installation
Select the washer to match the bolt diameter and channel flange slope. Fit the tapered face against the sloping flange so the opposite face provides a level seat for the nut or bolt head.
The taper is 8%, not 8 degrees. Check the channel geometry and assembly requirements before installation, and tighten the joint to its specified torque.
