Product Description
2mm Solid Brass Split Pins – Cotter Pins
Solid brass split pins in a 2mm nominal size, available in eight lengths from 10mm to 50mm. Also known as split cotter pins, these fasteners provide mechanical retention for compatible clevis pins, castellated nuts and cross-drilled shafts.
Each pin has a looped eye and two legs. Once inserted through the retaining hole, the legs are spread to help prevent the pin from withdrawing. Brass construction provides a natural brass appearance for maintenance, restoration and general mechanical assemblies.

Key Features
- Solid brass construction.
- Looped eye for handling and removal.
- Split legs for mechanical retention after fitting.
- Eight lengths for different assembly thicknesses.
- Suitable for compatible clevis pins, castellated nuts and drilled shafts.
Selection and Installation
Check the retaining hole size and select enough pin length for the legs to pass through and be spread correctly. Fit and secure the pin according to the assembly instructions.
Use a new split pin after removal, as repeated bending can weaken the legs. Split pins are retaining components and should not replace a load-bearing pin or bolt.
