1/2″-13 UNC Zinc Plated Socket Cap Bolts – Part Threaded, 12.9 Equivalent
1/2″-13 UNC high tensile alloy steel socket cap bolts with a zinc plated finish. These part-threaded bolts feature a plain shank, cylindrical cap head and internal hexagon socket accepting a 3/8″ Allen key.
Manufactured to the imperial ASTM A574 mechanical specification, with strength broadly comparable to metric property class 12.9. The 12.9 description is an approximate strength comparison; these bolts have imperial UNC threads.

Selection and Installation
Check that the mating thread is 1/2″-13 UNC. These bolts are not interchangeable with 1/2″-20 UNF, 1/2″ BSW or metric threads.
Measure the required length from beneath the head. Check that the plain shank and threaded portion suit the joint thickness and provide sufficient thread engagement. Exact shank and thread lengths are not specified.
Seat the correct Allen key fully before tightening and use a torque appropriate to the joint, coating and mating material.
