Product Description
No.14 zinc plated steel hexagon SEMS screws with a pre-assembled captive washer, available in 1/2" and 3/4" imperial lengths.
These screws combine a hexagon head screw and captive washer in one ready-to-install assembly. The retained washer remains attached during handling and installation, helping to reduce loose components, simplify assembly and improve fitting efficiency.

Hexagon SEMS screws are commonly used in automotive assemblies, machinery, electrical equipment, appliances, panels, brackets, enclosures, manufacturing and general maintenance applications.
The captive washer provides a wider bearing surface beneath the screw head and remains attached during handling. This can help speed up repetitive assembly work and reduce the risk of washers being omitted or dropped.
Installation is carried out using a correctly sized socket, nut spinner or spanner. The mating hole or component must have the correct thread and sufficient thread engagement for the application.
Zinc plating provides general corrosion resistance for indoor and sheltered applications. For prolonged outdoor, marine, coastal or highly corrosive environments, stainless steel or a more protective specialist coating may be more suitable.
Please note: The term “Acme screw” is used as an alternative product description for this SEMS fastener and should not be assumed to indicate a conventional trapezoidal ACME power-screw thread. Thread pitch, hex size and washer dimensions are not currently stated. If these details are critical to your application, please check with us before ordering.
Specifications and metric conversions are intended as a guide only. Product dimensions and washer styles may vary slightly by manufacturer or production batch.
