Product Description
M12 zinc-plated steel flat penny repair washers, available with 38mm and 50mm external diameters and an approximately 1.5mm thickness.
These large-diameter flat washers provide a much wider bearing surface than conventional M12 flat washers. They help distribute clamping loads across a larger area and are useful for securing thin sheet material, reinforcing mounting points and covering enlarged, worn or damaged holes.

M12 penny repair washers are commonly used for automotive repairs, bodywork, panels, brackets, roofing, cladding, fabrication, machinery, agricultural equipment, trailers and general maintenance applications.
The enlarged external diameter spreads the load from an M12 bolt, screw or nut over a wider area than a standard flat washer. This can help reduce localised pressure and lower the risk of a fastener pulling through thin, soft or weakened material.
The 38mm external-diameter washer provides a wide bearing surface while remaining relatively compact. The larger 50mm option provides increased coverage where additional load spreading or coverage of an enlarged mounting hole is required.
The oversized washer design can also help bridge mounting holes that have become worn, distorted or damaged, making these washers useful for repair and reinforcement work.
The zinc-plated finish provides a degree of corrosion protection for general indoor use and sheltered outdoor applications. It is not normally recommended for prolonged exposure to coastal, marine or highly corrosive environments, where stainless steel or a more suitable protective finish may be preferable.
Use with a compatible M12 fastener where the washer hole and manufacturing tolerance provide suitable clearance. The washer should sit flat against the mating surface and be adequately supported across its full bearing area.
