Product Description
M4 × 0.7mm A4 marine-grade stainless steel pan Pozi head machine screws, fully threaded and manufactured to the DIN 7985Z / ISO 7045 cross-recessed pan-head pattern.
These metric machine screws combine a rounded pan head with a Pozidriv recess for secure installation using a PZ2 screwdriver or bit. Manufactured from A4 stainless steel, they offer enhanced corrosion resistance for marine, coastal, outdoor and other demanding applications.

These M4 pan Pozi machine screws are suitable for marine fittings, boat equipment, coastal installations, electrical enclosures, machinery, brackets, panels, automotive components, fabrication and general engineering assemblies.
The standard M4 × 0.7mm metric coarse thread is designed for use with a corresponding M4 nut, threaded insert or tapped hole. The fully threaded shank allows thread engagement along the usable screw length and provides flexibility across assemblies with different material thicknesses.
The rounded pan head provides a broad bearing surface and sits above the assembled component. Its curved upper profile gives a neat general-purpose finish while avoiding the countersunk hole required by flush-fitting screws.
The type Z Pozidriv recess provides additional engagement points compared with a conventional Phillips recess. Use a correctly sized PZ2 screwdriver or bit rather than a Phillips tool to reduce the risk of cam-out and drive damage.
A4 stainless steel contains molybdenum and offers improved resistance to corrosion compared with general-purpose A2 stainless steel. It is commonly selected for marine, coastal, exterior and salt-laden environments, although suitability should still be checked for continuously submerged, chemically aggressive or safety-critical applications.
Stainless steel fasteners can be susceptible to thread galling, especially when assembled rapidly, overtightened or installed without lubrication. Where appropriate, use a compatible anti-seize compound, keep mating threads clean and tighten at a controlled speed.
Pan-head machine screw length is measured from directly beneath the head to the end of the screw. The rounded pan head is not included in the stated length.
Please note: DIN 7985Z is the traditional dimensional designation for pan-head machine screws with a Pozidriv type Z recess. ISO 7045 is the corresponding modern international standard, while BS 4183 is a legacy British reference for metric machine screws. The selectable product range includes a 4mm length, while the existing dimensional table contains a 6mm row that is not currently offered in the selector.
