Product Description
No.8 A2 Stainless Steel Raised Countersunk Pozi Self Tapping Screws
These No.8 raised countersunk self tapping screws are manufactured from A2 stainless steel and feature a Pozi drive. The raised countersunk, also known as oval, head provides a neat raised finish while the self tapping thread forms a mating thread during installation into a suitable prepared hole.
No.8 self tapping screws correspond to the metric thread designation ST4.2. Available lengths range from 3/8 inch to 2 inches.

Standards Information
DIN 7983 is the withdrawn legacy standard commonly associated with cross-recessed raised countersunk self tapping screws. The current dimensional standard is ISO 7051:2011, adopted in Britain as BS EN ISO 7051:2011.
A2 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance for many general-purpose applications. For prolonged exposure to saltwater, swimming-pool environments or aggressive chemicals, A4 stainless steel may be more suitable.
Installation Guidance
Select an appropriate pilot-hole diameter for the substrate and application. Stainless steel self tapping screws should not be forced into an undersized hole or an excessively hard material, as this can damage the thread or cause the screw to fail. Use a correctly fitting Pozi driver bit and avoid overtightening.
