Product Description
No.8-32 UNC A2 Stainless Steel Hexagon Head Screws
These No.8-32 UNC A2 stainless steel hexagon head screws feature a fully threaded shank and a 32 threads-per-inch Unified National Coarse thread. They provide good resistance to everyday corrosion and are suitable for electrical equipment, machinery, instrumentation, automotive work and general imperial fastening applications.
The external hexagon head allows controlled installation using a correctly fitting imperial spanner or socket. The fully threaded design is useful where the mating nut or tapped hole needs to engage close to the underside of the head.

Installation Guidance
Confirm that the mating nut or tapped hole has a No.8-32 UNC thread before installation. Do not substitute a similarly sized metric screw, as the diameter and thread pitch will not be compatible.
Install using a correctly fitting imperial spanner or socket. Stainless steel threads can gall or seize when assembled quickly, without lubrication or under high tightening pressure. A suitable anti-seize compound may be beneficial where repeated assembly is expected.
A2 stainless steel is suitable for many general applications but may not be appropriate for prolonged exposure to seawater, salt spray or strongly chlorinated environments. A4 stainless steel should be considered for demanding marine and chloride-rich conditions.
