No.8 Zinc-Plated Steel Countersunk Pozi Woodscrews
These No.8 countersunk Pozi woodscrews are manufactured from hardened steel and finished with zinc plating. Available in imperial lengths from 1/2" to 3", they provide a versatile fastening solution for general woodworking, joinery, furniture assembly and internal timber fixing.
The countersunk head is designed to finish flush with, or slightly below, the surface of the timber. Its Pozi cross recess provides positive engagement with the correct driver bit, helping to transfer driving torque effectively while reducing the risk of the driver slipping.

Installation Guidance
- Use the correct-size Pozi driver bit to minimise slipping and recess damage.
- Select a length suitable for the thickness of the materials being joined.
- Drill a suitable pilot hole when fixing into hardwood or close to an edge.
- Use a separate countersink where a completely flush finish is required.
- Avoid excessive tightening, which could strip the timber or damage the recess.
- Check for concealed cables, pipes and finished surfaces before installation.
Corrosion warning: Standard zinc plating provides limited corrosion resistance. These screws are primarily intended for dry internal or sheltered applications. For exposed outdoor timber, treated timber, marine conditions or other corrosive environments, use an appropriately rated stainless-steel or exterior-coated woodscrew.
