4mm Aluminium/Steel Countersunk Blind Pop Rivets
These 4mm countersunk blind rivets feature an aluminium rivet body and a steel break-pull mandrel. Available in nominal body lengths from 8mm to 20mm, they provide a permanent mechanical fastening where access is available from only one side of the assembly.
The countersunk head is designed to sit flush with the surface when installed into a correctly prepared countersunk hole. This makes the rivets suitable for sheet-metal, panel and fabrication applications requiring a low-profile, smooth finished surface.

Installation Guidance
- Measure the total thickness of the materials before selecting the rivet length.
- Confirm that the selected rivet's grip range covers the complete assembly thickness.
- Drill a clean hole using the diameter recommended for the exact rivet.
- Prepare a matching countersink so the head sits flush without excessive material removal.
- Remove burrs, swarf and contamination before inserting the rivet.
- Use a riveting tool fitted with the correct nosepiece for the rivet mandrel.
- Hold the tool square to the workpiece while pulling the mandrel.
- Inspect the formed blind-side head and confirm that the joint is securely clamped.
Application note: These are conventional open-end blind rivets and should not be assumed to produce a sealed or watertight joint. Use a sealed or closed-end rivet where moisture, air or fluid sealing is required.
The combination of an aluminium body and steel mandrel should be checked for suitability in wet, marine or galvanically sensitive assemblies. These rivets should not be used for structural or safety-critical applications unless suitable performance data and approval are available.
