Product Description
3.2mm Aluminium/Steel Large-Flange Blind Rivets
These 3.2mm open-end blind rivets feature an aluminium body and zinc-plated steel break mandrel. Their enlarged 9.5mm dome-head flange spreads the clamping load over a wider area than a standard blind-rivet head.
The increased bearing surface makes these rivets particularly useful when joining thin sheet, plastics, panels and softer materials where a standard-size head could pull through or distort the surface.
Product Details
- Rivet diameter: 3.2mm
- Available lengths: 6mm and 10mm
- Rivet body material: Aluminium
- Mandrel material: Zinc-plated steel
- Rivet type: Open-end blind rivet
- Mandrel type: Break pull
- Head type: Large-flange dome head
- Flange diameter: 9.5mm
- Recommended hole diameter: 3.3mm
- Legacy design standard: DIN 7337-C large-head pattern
The grip range is the combined thickness of the materials being joined. Choose a rivet whose stated grip range covers the complete assembly thickness. No option covering a 3–5mm grip range is currently listed on this product.
Rivet length is measured from beneath the large-flange head to the end of the rivet body. Dimensions are provided as a guide and should be checked before ordering where they are critical.

Installation Guidance
Drill a clean 3.3mm hole and remove any burrs or swarf. Insert the rivet through the assembled materials and set it using a blind-rivet tool fitted with the appropriate 3.2mm nosepiece.
Ensure the materials are held firmly together before pulling the mandrel. Consider material compatibility and possible galvanic corrosion when aluminium rivets are installed into dissimilar metals in damp or corrosive environments.
