Product Description
3.2mm Aluminium and Steel Blind Pop Rivets
These 3.2mm standard blind pop rivets have a lightweight aluminium body and a zinc-plated steel break mandrel. They provide a quick and permanent method of joining sheet metal, panels and other relatively thin materials when access is available from only one side of the assembly.
The standard dome head—known as a protruding head in ISO terminology—provides a neat finish and a broad bearing surface. The aluminium body offers good general corrosion resistance, while the steel mandrel provides the strength required to set the rivet securely.
Key Features
- Nominal rivet diameter: 3.2mm
- Available lengths: 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 15mm, 18mm and 25mm
- Body material: aluminium alloy
- Mandrel material: zinc-plated steel
- Head style: standard dome or protruding head
- Open-end blind-rivet construction
- Can be installed when only one side of the workpiece is accessible
- Suitable for use with hand, lever or powered riveting tools
Select a rivet whose stated grip range includes the total combined thickness of the materials being joined. Drill or prepare a clean 3.3mm installation hole and use a riveting tool fitted with a nosepiece suitable for 3.2mm rivets.
Typical Applications
- Sheet-metal fabrication
- Automotive panels and trim
- Signs, brackets and enclosures
- Ventilation and ducting assemblies
- General repairs and maintenance
- Light engineering and DIY projects
Applicable Standards
ISO 15977 and its identical British adoption, BS EN ISO 15977, cover open-end blind rivets with break-pull mandrels, protruding heads, aluminium alloy bodies and steel mandrels in nominal diameters from 2.4mm through 6.4mm.
DIN 7337 is the related legacy standard for break-mandrel blind rivets and has been superseded by material- and head-specific EN ISO standards. Product compliance should only be claimed where the rivet dimensions, material specification and mechanical properties have been verified against the relevant standard.
Please note that specifications are provided as a guide. Check all critical dimensions, grip requirements and material compatibility before ordering.
