Product Description
M14 x 1.5 Metric Fine 10.9 Grade Self Colour Hexagon Flange Bolts
These M14 x 1.5 metric-fine hexagon flange bolts are manufactured from high-tensile property class 10.9 steel and supplied with a self-colour, unplated finish. The integral flange provides a broader bearing surface beneath the head, while the partially threaded body provides a 26mm plain shank.

Thread Compatibility
M14 metric coarse thread normally has a 2mm pitch. This product has an M14 x 1.5mm fine thread and is not interchangeable with M14 coarse-thread nuts or tapped holes. Always confirm the required pitch before ordering.
The stated bolt length is measured from the bearing face beneath the flange to the end of the bolt. The flange and head are not included in the nominal length.
ISO and British Standards Information
Property Class 10.9
Property class 10.9 identifies a high-tensile carbon or alloy steel fastener. Mechanical requirements for property-class bolts and screws with metric coarse and fine threads are specified by ISO 898-1.
Suitability for safety-critical or highly loaded applications should be confirmed against the equipment manufacturer's requirements and any necessary material or product certification.
Self Colour Finish
Self colour means the steel is supplied without a protective zinc-plated or galvanised coating. The surface can vary in shade and may contain traces of manufacturing or storage oil.
Unplated steel can corrode when exposed to moisture. Suitable protective oil, coating or controlled storage should be considered where corrosion resistance is required.
Typical Applications
- Automotive and motorsport assemblies
- Industrial machinery and equipment
- Commercial vehicles and agricultural machinery
- Engineering repairs and maintenance
- Applications requiring an integral load-spreading flange
- Fine-threaded clamping assemblies
- Applications requiring a property class 10.9 fastener
Installation Guidance
Confirm that the mating nut or tapped component has an M14 x 1.5mm thread. Start the bolt by hand to prevent cross-threading and use a correctly fitting 18mm socket or spanner.
Tightening torque must be selected for the specific thread pitch, joint materials, flange-face style, surface finish and lubrication condition. Do not apply a general M14 coarse-thread torque figure to this fine-thread bolt. Obtain the specified torque from the equipment manufacturer or responsible engineer for safety-critical joints.
