Cased imperial carbon steel hexagon die nut sets for cleaning and restoring existing external threads on bolts, studs and threaded components. Choose from UNF, UNC, BSF or BSW Whitworth thread options to suit your application.Thread sizes in case are 1/4", 5/16", 3/8", 7/16" & 1/2"
The hexagonal body allows each die nut to be turned with a suitable spanner or socket, making these tools useful for maintenance and restoration work. The supplied case keeps the die nuts together for convenient workshop storage.

Each purchase contains the selected thread series. The four thread options are separate sets, not one combined assortment.
Using Your Die Nuts
Identify the thread diameter, thread form and threads per inch before selecting a die nut. Start squarely on the existing thread, use a suitable cutting lubricant and work carefully to clear debris and minor thread damage.
These die nuts are intended primarily for restoring existing threads. For cutting a new thread on plain bar, select an appropriate thread-cutting die.
