Black Pozi Flange Head Self Drilling Screws – No.8 and No.10
Black self drilling screws manufactured from case-hardened steel, featuring a large flange head and Pozi drive. Available in 4.2mm and 4.8mm thread diameters, with a choice of lengths for general fixing and assembly work.
The drill point creates a hole in suitable material before the thread engages. The integral flange provides a broad bearing surface beneath the head, helping spread the clamping load over the component being secured.

Fitting Information
Use a correctly fitting Pozi bit and keep the driver aligned with the screw. Apply controlled pressure while drilling, then reduce the driving force as the flange seats against the surface.
Choose a screw length that allows the drill point to pass through the material before the thread fully engages. Suitability depends on the material and total thickness being drilled; screw diameter alone does not establish drilling capacity.
Avoid overtightening, which can strip the formed thread, damage the drive recess or distort the component being secured.
