Product Description
7/16" UNF Grade 8 Hex Head Set Screws – Yellow Zinc Plated
These 7/16" UNF hex head set screws are fully threaded steel fasteners with a yellow zinc plated finish. Featuring a 20 TPI fine thread and SAE Grade 8 strength specification, they are suitable for assemblies requiring high tensile imperial fasteners.
The hexagon head accepts a 5/8" spanner or socket. The fully threaded design allows use with matching UNF nuts or correctly threaded tapped holes, making these screws useful for machinery, equipment repairs and automotive restoration where this specification is required.
Key Features
- SAE Grade 8: high tensile steel fasteners with six radial grade identification lines on the head.
- 7/16" UNF thread: Unified National Fine thread with 20 threads per inch.
- Fully threaded: hex head set screw design for fastening with nuts or into tapped components.
- Yellow zinc plated finish: provides a protective coating to help resist corrosion.
- Hexagon head: fitted using a 5/8" spanner or socket.
- 1" length: equivalent to 25.4mm, measured from beneath the head.

Choosing the Correct Fastener
Check that the mating nut or tapped hole has a 7/16"-20 UNF thread. Select nuts and washers with a suitable strength specification for the assembly, and follow the equipment manufacturer's tightening requirements.
Length is measured from the underside of the hexagon head to the end of the screw; the head is not included.
