Product Description
M4 Zinc Plated Pan Torx Thread Forming Screws – DIN 7500
M4 thread forming screws with a pan head and Torx drive, manufactured from case-hardened steel with a zinc plated and waxed finish. Specified to DIN 7500 for forming an internal thread in a correctly sized prepared hole in suitable material.
The thread-forming action displaces material to create the mating thread, allowing assembly without a separate tapping operation. The waxed finish helps reduce friction during installation.

Key Features
- Thread-forming design removes the need for a separate tapping operation in suitable applications.
- Case-hardened steel construction.
- Pan head provides a raised bearing surface.
- Torx drive provides positive engagement with a correctly fitting driver bit.
- Zinc plated coating with wax lubrication to assist installation.
Typical Applications
Suitable for brackets, enclosures, equipment and component assemblies requiring an M4 thread to be formed directly into a compatible workpiece.
Hole Preparation and Installation
Use a correctly sized pilot hole suitable for the workpiece material, thickness and required thread engagement. Select the hole diameter and installation torque for the application; a conventional M4 tapping drill size should not be assumed suitable.
Use a correctly fitting Torx bit and controlled installation torque. For blind holes, allow sufficient depth for the screw tip and thread-forming lead.
