Product Description
1/2" UNF Grade 5 zinc plated steel hex head set screws, fully threaded for general engineering, automotive, machinery, fabrication and maintenance applications. These high tensile imperial fine thread fasteners are manufactured from steel with a zinc plated finish for general corrosion resistance.
The hexagon head allows installation with a standard spanner or socket, while the fully threaded shank is suitable where the thread needs to run close to the underside of the head. These 1/2" UNF set screws have a 20 TPI Unified National Fine thread and are available in imperial lengths from 1" to 3".
For imperial UNF products, the suitable standard references are ASME B18.2.1 for hex head dimensions, ASME B1.1 for the UNF thread form, and SAE Grade 5 for the high tensile strength grade.
