Product Description
1/2" UNC Grade 5 zinc plated steel hex head set screws, fully threaded for general engineering, automotive, machinery, fabrication and maintenance applications. These high tensile imperial coarse thread fasteners are manufactured from steel with a zinc plated finish for general corrosion resistance.
The hexagon head allows installation with a standard spanner or socket, while the fully threaded shank is suitable where the thread needs to run close to the underside of the head. These 1/2" UNC set screws have a 13 TPI Unified National Coarse thread and are available in imperial lengths from 3/4" to 3".
For imperial UNC products, the suitable standard references are ASME B18.2.1 for hex head dimensions, ASME B1.1 for the UNC thread form, and SAE Grade 5 for the high tensile strength grade.
