1/4" UNC High Tensile Self Colour Socket Cap Bolts – Part Threaded
1/4"-20 UNC socket cap bolts manufactured from heat treated high tensile alloy steel to ASTM A574, with a self colour finish. These part threaded bolts feature a plain shank beneath the head for assemblies requiring an unthreaded section through the joint.
The cylindrical socket cap head takes a 3/16" Allen key or hexagon driver bit. Suitable for machinery, tooling, equipment maintenance and mechanical assemblies specifying an imperial alloy steel socket cap fastener.

Installation
Use a correctly fitting 3/16" Allen key or hexagon driver bit. Check that the selected bolt length and plain shank suit the joint thickness and provide sufficient thread engagement. For tapped blind holes, ensure the bolt cannot bottom out before the joint is clamped.
Apply a tightening torque appropriate to the fastener, mating material, lubrication and joint design. Self colour steel requires suitable protection when exposed to moisture.
