1/4" UNC High Tensile Self Colour Socket Cap Screws – Fully Threaded
1/4"-20 UNC fully threaded socket cap screws manufactured from heat treated high tensile alloy steel to ASTM A574, with a self colour finish. Suitable for machinery, tooling and mechanical assemblies requiring an imperial alloy steel socket cap fastener.
The cylindrical socket cap head takes a 3/16" Allen key or hexagon driver bit. The fully threaded design allows installation into a matching UNC tapped hole or use with a suitable nut.

Installation
Use a correctly fitting 3/16" Allen key or hexagon driver bit. Ensure sufficient thread engagement and check that the screw cannot bottom out in a blind hole before the joint is clamped.
Apply a tightening torque appropriate to the fastener, mating material, lubrication and joint design. Self colour steel requires suitable protection when exposed to moisture.
