Product Description
UNF high tensile zinc plated steel Nyloc half nuts for imperial fine thread fastening applications. These thin nylon insert lock nuts are used where a reduced height locking nut is required with a UNF threaded bolt, screw or stud.
The nylon insert helps resist loosening in general fastening assemblies, while the half nut / thin nut pattern makes them useful where space is limited or where a lower profile locking nut is needed. The zinc plated steel finish provides general corrosion resistance for workshop, engineering, automotive, machinery, repair and maintenance use.
Available in UNF imperial thread sizes from 1/4" to 5/8", these NTE Nyloc half nuts are suitable for Unified National Fine thread applications. For inch series hex nut dimensions, ASME B18.2.2 is the suitable reference, with ASME B1.1 covering the UNF thread form.
