Key Features
- A2 stainless steel nut body for corrosion resistance in general environments.
- Nylon insert provides a prevailing-torque locking action.
- Available in 2BA and 4BA threads.
- External hexagon for tightening with a correctly fitting spanner or socket.
Typical Applications
Model engineering, instrument assemblies, restoration projects and equipment repairs requiring matching BA threaded fixings.
Installation
Fit the nut with the metal-threaded end towards the joint and the nylon insert facing away. Start by hand, then tighten with a suitable spanner or socket. Ensure the mating screw passes fully through the nylon insert when assembled.
Check that the nylon insert is suitable for the operating temperature and chemical exposure. Replace the nut if the insert is damaged or no longer provides effective locking resistance.
