UNC carbon steel hexagon re-threading die nuts for Unified National Coarse external threads. These UK made die nuts are mainly used for cleaning, chasing and restoring existing threads on UNC bolts, studs, threaded bar and other male threaded components.
The hexagon die nut design allows the tool to be turned with a suitable spanner or socket, making it useful for repair work where access may be limited or where a standard circular die and die stock is not practical. Carbon steel die nuts are a practical choice for cleaning up damaged, rusty, dirty or worn UNC threads.
Available in UNC thread sizes from No.5-40 up to 1 1/8"-7, including No.6-32, No.8-32, No.10-24, 1/4" x 20, 5/16" x 18, 3/8" x 16, 1/2" x 13, 5/8" x 11 and 3/4" x 10. UNC thread dimensions are commonly referenced to ASME B1.1.
