Product Description
A2 Stainless Steel UNC Heavy Hex Nuts
A2 stainless steel heavy hex nuts with UNC imperial coarse threads. Available in five sizes from 5/16" to 3/4", these nuts feature a larger hexagon profile than standard finished hex nuts of the same thread size.
The heavy hex form provides a wider bearing face and a larger spanner size. A2 stainless steel offers good general corrosion resistance for machinery assembly, engineering repairs and maintenance applications.

Key Features
- A2 stainless steel construction for general corrosion resistance.
- Heavy hexagon profile with a wider bearing face.
- Larger spanner sizes than standard finished hex nuts.
- UNC coarse threads for matching imperial bolts, screws and threaded bar.
- Five available thread sizes.
Selection and Installation
Match both the thread diameter and TPI to the mating fastener. Allow sufficient clearance for the larger heavy hex body and the required spanner or socket.
Tighten to the requirements of the assembly. Use suitable lubrication where appropriate to reduce the risk of stainless steel thread galling. Confirm the required nut strength specification for load-critical applications.
Pack Sizes
Available in packs of 1, 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100. Select the required thread size and pack quantity from the options.
Standards
- ASME B18.2.2 – heavy hexagon nut dimensional reference.
- ASME B1.1 – Unified inch thread reference.
