1 1/2" British Standard Pipe Taper carbon steel circular dies for cleaning, chasing and restoring existing external tapered pipe threads.
These UK made solid round dies are manufactured from carbon steel and are intended primarily for repairing damaged, dirty or lightly corroded BSPT external threads. BSPT uses a tapered 55-degree Whitworth thread form and is commonly used on pipe fittings, adapters, connectors and engineering components.

Please note: BSP thread sizes refer to the nominal pipe bore and do not equal the actual measured outside thread diameter.
Carbon steel dies are primarily recommended for cleaning or restoring existing threads. For regular production of new threads, a suitable high speed steel die may be preferable.
