Product Description
M12 A2 stainless steel mushroom head coach bolts manufactured to DIN 603, with a square neck and standard 1.75mm metric coarse thread.
These coach bolts feature a smooth domed head with a square section beneath it. When fitted into a suitable square hole or drawn into timber, the square neck helps prevent the bolt from rotating while the nut is tightened from the opposite side.

Coach bolts are commonly used for timber construction, fencing, gates, benches, structural brackets, playground equipment and general fabrication. The smooth mushroom head provides a neat finish and leaves no exposed drive recess on the fitted side.
Use with a matching M12 metric coarse nut and a suitable washer. The square neck must engage securely with the timber or mounting hole to prevent the bolt from turning during installation.
A2 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance for general indoor and outdoor applications. For marine, coastal or more aggressive environments, A4 stainless steel may be more suitable.
Stainless steel threads can be susceptible to galling. Applying a suitable anti-seize compound and avoiding excessive installation speed can help reduce the risk of the nut binding.
