Metric coarse HSS high speed steel hexagon die nuts for producing or repairing standard metric external threads.
These industrial-grade hexagon die nuts are manufactured from high speed steel and are suitable for making new external threads as well as cleaning, restoring and re-threading existing metric coarse threads. The hexagon body allows the die nut to be driven with a suitable spanner or socket.

High speed steel die nuts are suitable for tougher thread cutting and thread repair work than standard carbon steel die nuts. Use with a suitable cutting lubricant and ensure the die nut is started square to the workpiece to help produce a clean, accurate thread.
Hexagon die nuts are commonly used for restoring damaged threads on studs, bolts, threaded bar and other externally threaded components. For precision production threading, circular split dies or machine dies may be more suitable depending on the application.
