Product Description
No.14 zinc plated steel hexagon flange head self-drilling Tek screws, available in imperial lengths from 1" to 4".
These screws feature a self-drilling point designed to drill and form a mating thread during installation, helping to reduce the need for separate pilot drilling and tapping operations. The hexagon head allows installation using a suitable socket or spanner, while the integrated flange provides a wider bearing surface beneath the head.

Hex flange self-drilling screws are commonly used for fixing sheet metal, steel sections, cladding, brackets, panels, roofing components, ductwork and general fabrication assemblies.
The integrated flange spreads the clamping load across a wider area than a conventional hexagon head and may remove the need for a separate flat washer in suitable applications.
Zinc plating provides general corrosion resistance for indoor and sheltered applications. For prolonged outdoor, marine, coastal or highly corrosive environments, stainless steel or a more protective specialist coating may be more suitable.
Self-drilling performance depends on the material thickness, hardness, drill-point capacity, installation speed and tool pressure. A pilot hole may still be required when working with material outside the screw’s drilling capacity.
For hexagon flange head screws, the length is measured from beneath the flange to the end of the self-drilling point.
