These M7 metric hexagon head bolts are manufactured from high-tensile property class 8.8 steel and finished with zinc plating for additional protection against corrosion. Available in lengths from 35mm to 70mm, they feature a partially threaded design with a solid, unthreaded shank through part of the fastening.

M7 is a less-common metric diameter that is often required for automotive, motorcycle, machinery, restoration and specialist engineering applications. It uses a standard M7 x 1mm thread and should not be confused with M6 or M8 fasteners.

The partially threaded construction allows the solid shank to pass through the clearance holes of assembled components. This can provide improved support through the joint compared with placing threads across the complete joint thickness.
