High-strength M12 socket head cap bolts manufactured from property class 12.9 steel with a self-colour, unplated finish. Available with 1.5mm fine and 1.25mm extra-fine thread pitches, these part-threaded bolts are intended for demanding machinery, automotive and engineering assemblies.

Select the pitch carefully: M12 × 1.5 and M12 × 1.25 threads are not interchangeable with one another or with the standard M12 × 1.75 coarse thread. The bolt must be paired with a nut or tapped hole having exactly the same diameter and pitch.

Property Class 12.9
Property class 12.9 fasteners provide very high tensile strength for highly loaded assemblies. Tightening torque and preload must be selected according to the thread pitch, lubrication, mating-thread strength, joint design and operating conditions. Self-Colour Finish
Self-colour steel is unplated and provides little inherent protection against corrosion. Keep the fasteners dry and consider protective oil, an appropriate coating or a plated alternative where exposure to moisture is expected.
