Product Description
5/16"-18 UNC A2 Stainless Socket Cup Point Grub Screws
These 5/16"-18 UNC socket grub screws are manufactured from A2 austenitic stainless steel, providing good corrosion resistance for general indoor, outdoor, automotive and engineering applications.
The headless design allows the screw to sit flush with or below the surface of the component. A hexagon socket provides positive installation with a 5/32" Allen key, while the cup point concentrates holding pressure against a shaft or mating component.

Installation Guidance
Install using a correctly fitting 5/32" Allen key or hexagon drive bit. Ensure the receiving component has a compatible 5/16"-18 UNC internal thread. The screw length is measured over its complete end-to-end length.
Cup points provide strong holding power but can mark or indent the mating surface. Use a suitable flat, keyway or prepared seating point where surface damage or accurate positioning is important.
Stainless steel fasteners can gall when tightened into stainless steel mating threads. A suitable anti-seize compound and controlled installation speed can help reduce this risk.
