M8 A2 Stainless Steel Pan Slotted Machine Screws – DIN 85
These M8 pan head machine screws are manufactured from A2 austenitic stainless steel and feature a traditional straight slotted drive. They have a standard M8 × 1.25 metric coarse thread for use with compatible M8 nuts or tapped holes.
The broad pan head provides a larger bearing surface than a cheese head screw, while its rounded upper profile gives a neat general-purpose finish. The straight slot allows installation with a conventional flat-blade screwdriver or drive bit.

Installation Guidance
Use a correctly fitting flat-blade screwdriver or slotted drive bit that fills the slot as closely as possible. An undersized driver can damage the slot or slip during tightening.
Select a screw length that provides sufficient thread engagement without bottoming in a blind tapped hole. Thread coverage may vary on longer machine screws, so check the threaded length where a fully threaded fastener is essential.
When mating stainless steel screws with stainless steel nuts or tapped components, a suitable anti-seize compound and controlled installation speed can help reduce the risk of thread galling.
A2 stainless steel provides good general corrosion resistance but is not normally the preferred choice for persistent saltwater, swimming-pool or severe chloride environments. Consider A4 stainless steel for more demanding exposure.
