No.12 A2 Stainless Steel Countersunk Slotted Self Tapping Screws
These No.12 countersunk slotted self tapping screws are manufactured from corrosion-resistant A2 stainless steel. Their flat countersunk head is designed to finish flush with a suitably prepared surface, while the traditional slotted drive can be installed using a standard flat-bladed screwdriver or bit.
The screws have a nominal thread diameter of approximately 5.5mm and are suitable for fastening sheet metal, plastics and other compatible materials. The tapping thread forms a mating thread as the screw is driven into a correctly sized pilot hole. These are self tapping screws and do not have a self-drilling point.

Typical Applications
Suitable for general fabrication, equipment panels, electrical enclosures, automotive components, light sheet-metal assemblies and plastic parts where a corrosion-resistant fastening and flush-fitting head are required.
A correctly sized pilot hole should be prepared before installation. The required pilot-hole diameter depends on the receiving material, material thickness and required thread engagement.
A2 stainless steel provides good corrosion resistance in many general indoor and outdoor environments. For marine, coastal, swimming-pool or similarly aggressive conditions, a suitable A4 stainless steel product may be preferable.
