Product Description
M8 Zinc-Plated 12.9 Socket Cap Set Screws
These M8 socket cap set screws are manufactured from high-tensile property class 12.9 steel and supplied with a zinc-plated finish. They feature a standard M8 × 1.25 metric coarse thread and are available in lengths from 8mm to 35mm.
The cylindrical socket cap head incorporates an internal hexagon drive, providing secure tool engagement and allowing installation where access around the fastener head is restricted. Their high-strength construction makes them suitable for demanding machinery, automotive and engineering assemblies.

Typical Applications
Suitable for machinery, automotive components, manufacturing equipment, tooling, jigs, fixtures, structural assemblies and general engineering work requiring a compact, high-strength metric fastener.
Installation Guidance
Confirm the required length and ensure that the mating component has a standard M8 × 1.25 metric thread. Screw length is measured from beneath the socket cap head to the end of the fastener.
Use a correctly fitting 6mm hex key and apply a tightening torque appropriate for the joint design, lubrication condition and application. Property class 12.9 screws should be installed into mating components of suitable strength.
Zinc plating provides a degree of corrosion protection but is not intended for continuous exposure to highly corrosive, marine or chemical environments. Consider stainless steel or a more suitable protective coating for these conditions.
Please note that published dimensions and specifications are intended as a guide. Confirm any safety-critical or application-critical requirements before ordering.
