Product Description
M12 A2 Stainless-Steel Socket Cap Set Screws
These M12 socket cap set screws are manufactured from A2 stainless steel and feature a standard M12 × 1.75 metric coarse thread. They are fully threaded and available in 25mm, 35mm and 40mm lengths.
The cylindrical socket cap head incorporates a 10mm internal hexagon drive, providing secure tool engagement while allowing installation where access around the fastener head is restricted. A2 stainless steel provides good general-purpose corrosion resistance for indoor and moderately exposed applications.

Typical Applications
Suitable for machinery, automotive components, manufacturing equipment, brackets, tooling, jigs, fixtures and general engineering assemblies requiring a fully threaded M12 stainless-steel fastener.
Installation Guidance
Confirm that the mating component has a standard M12 × 1.75 metric thread. These screws are not interchangeable with M12 fine-pitch fasteners. Screw length is measured from beneath the socket cap head to the end of the fastener.
Use a correctly fitting 10mm hex key and apply a tightening torque suitable for the joint, mating material and application. Avoid using carbon-steel torque figures unless the strength class of the stainless-steel screw has been confirmed.
Stainless-steel threads can be susceptible to galling during installation. Using a suitable anti-seize compound and installing at a controlled speed can help reduce this risk.
A2 stainless steel is suitable for many general-purpose applications but may not be appropriate for prolonged exposure to salt water, marine environments or aggressive chemicals. A4 stainless steel should be considered where greater corrosion resistance is required.
