No.12 A2 Stainless-Steel Raised Countersunk Slotted Woodscrews – DIN 95
These No.12 raised countersunk slotted woodscrews are manufactured from A2 stainless steel to DIN 95. Available in imperial lengths from 1 1/4" to 2", they provide a corrosion-resistant and decorative fastening solution for woodworking, joinery, furniture assembly and timber hardware.
The raised countersunk head combines a countersunk bearing surface with a gently rounded top. This allows the screw to seat neatly into a countersunk hole while leaving a decorative raised finish above the adjoining surface. The traditional slotted drive makes these screws particularly suitable for restoration work and period-style fittings.

Installation Guidance
- Use a correctly fitting flat-bladed screwdriver to avoid damaging the slot.
- Drill a suitable pilot hole, particularly in hardwood or close to an edge.
- Use a clearance hole through the upper component where a tight joint is required.
- Prepare a suitable countersink for the underside of the raised head.
- Do not attempt to drive the rounded top completely flush with the surface.
- Avoid excessive tightening, as stainless steel is softer than hardened carbon steel.
- Use clean installation tools to reduce contamination of the stainless-steel surface.
Corrosion guidance: A2 stainless steel provides good resistance in many indoor and mildly exposed outdoor environments. For marine, coastal, swimming-pool, chemical or other chloride-rich conditions, A4 stainless steel may be more appropriate.
DIN 95 covers general-purpose slotted raised-countersunk wood screws for applications that do not require structural or construction approval. These screws should not be described as structural fasteners unless separate load-performance certification is available for the exact product.
