High-tensile M8 metric fine hexagon flange set screws manufactured from property class 10.9 steel and supplied with a plain self colour finish. The integral flange distributes the clamping load over a wider area and can remove the need for a separate flat washer in suitable applications.

ISO 15072, adopted in the UK as BS ISO 15072, is the relevant standard for small-series hexagon flange fasteners with metric fine threads. It includes M8 x 1 fasteners in property class 10.9.
Property Class 10.9
Property class 10.9 provides high tensile and proof strength for demanding mechanical joints. The mating nut or internally threaded component must have an M8 x 1 thread and sufficient strength for the intended assembly.
Metric Fine Thread
M8 x 1 is a metric fine thread. It must not be confused with the standard M8 coarse thread, which normally has a 1.25mm pitch. An M8 x 1 fastener will only fit a matching M8 x 1 nut or internally threaded component.
