Length is measured from beneath the round head to the end of the screw.
Standards
BS 57:1951 provides the dimensional reference for BA round head screws. The 4BA thread form and tolerances are covered by BS 93:2008.
BA threads are not interchangeable with metric threads, even where the diameters appear similar.
