Left-hand British Standard Cycle carbon steel circular split dies for cleaning and restoring existing external threads. These dies have a 1 inch outside diameter and are suitable for use in a compatible die holder.

The BSC thread form is covered by BS 811:1950. The live 1/4 inch option is listed as 28 TPI, but 1/4 inch BSC is normally specified at 26 TPI. Confirm this size before ordering.
Usage
Use with a compatible 1 inch die holder. Apply suitable cutting lubricant, keep the die square to the workpiece and turn it in the correct direction for a left-hand thread.
Carbon steel dies are primarily recommended for cleaning or restoring existing threads rather than producing new threads in unthreaded material.
