1" B.S. Cycle carbon steel circular split dies for British Standard Cycle external threads. These UK made dies are mainly used for cleaning, chasing and restoring existing BSCY threads on bolts, studs, threaded bar and other male threaded components.
The circular split die design allows the die to be held in a suitable die stock, making it useful for bicycle, motorcycle, classic vehicle, vintage machinery, restoration, workshop repair and general maintenance applications. Carbon steel dies are a practical choice for cleaning up damaged, dirty or worn cycle threads.
Available in B.S. Cycle thread sizes from 1/4" to 1/2", these dies have a 1" outside diameter and use a 26 TPI cycle thread form. British Standard Cycle thread dimensions are commonly referenced to BS 811.
