Stainless Steel Aerotight Self Locking Nuts – M3 to M12
Aerotight self locking nuts provide an all-metal locking action to help resist loosening caused by vibration. Manufactured from 303 stainless steel, these metric nuts are available in M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10 and M12 sizes.
The integral locking element grips the mating thread without a nylon insert. Once this element is engaged, the nut resists turning even before it is fully tightened against the assembly.

Typical Applications
Suitable for machinery, equipment assembly, automotive maintenance and general engineering where vibration resistance and an all-metal locking nut are required.
Fitting Guidance
Choose a bolt, screw or stud with the matching thread diameter and pitch. Allow at least two complete threads to protrude beyond the nut so the locking element is fully engaged. Do not fit to damaged or interrupted threads.
Inspect the nut before reuse and replace it if the threads or locking element are damaged or the locking resistance is no longer effective.
