Key Features
- Self drilling point drills the pilot hole in suitable steel.
- Self-tapping thread forms the mating thread during installation.
- Pan head provides a raised bearing surface above the fixture.
- Zinc plating provides added corrosion protection.
Selection and Installation
Use a matching Phillips driver bit. Check that the screw length and drill point suit the combined material thickness and required engagement in the steel.
The drill point must pass through the steel before the thread engages. A No.3 point designation alone does not specify the permissible steel thickness.
