Product Description
No.10 Pan Phillips Zinc Plated Steel Self-Drilling Screws
These No.10 pan-head self-drilling screws are designed for securing timber and wood-based materials to suitable steel sections. The integral drill point drills into the steel and the tapping thread forms a mating thread during installation, helping to reduce the need for a separate pilot-drilling operation.
Manufactured from case-hardened steel with a zinc-plated finish, these screws feature a Phillips cross recess and a pan head that provides a broad bearing surface against the material being secured.

Installation Guidance
Use a correctly fitting Phillips driver bit and apply steady pressure while drilling. Avoid excessive installation speed or over-tightening, as this can damage the cross recess, strip the formed thread or reduce the holding strength.
Select a length that passes completely through the timber and provides sufficient drill-point and thread engagement with the steel. Maximum drilling capacity depends on the steel grade, thickness, installation speed and drill-point design, so suitability should be confirmed for critical applications.
